CRM Minute: Gestures of Comfort

One type of gesture that can be very helpful is a gesture of comfort.  This could look like putting your hand over your heart as a way to sooth yourself, or let someone else know you are listening.  It could be reaching out to someone else to offer a hand or a hug.  Cultural sensitivity and personal boundaries are important to keep in mind with gestures, yet can provide powerful forms a comfort without saying a word.
